SouthPark Comprehensive Neighborhood Improvement Program (CNIP)
This project will install new sidewalk, curb & gutter and a planting strip along Barclay Downs Drive between Sayre Road and Runnymede Lane.
To support an evolving mixed-use activity center
To improve bicycle and pedestrian access from neighborhoods
To create a "park-once" environment
To increase the quantity and quality of greenspace
To support economic vibrancy and strong sense of place
To leverage public and private investments
To capitalize on strategic partnerships
The project team has aggressively solicited input from residents and businesses in the SouthPark area and surrounding neighborhoods though the following activities:
March 27, 2019: Community/property owner meeting
April 10, 2018: SouthPark all-day event at Morrison Regional Library
January 23, 2018: Public all-day event at Morrison Regional Library
November 27-30 - Project development workshop at Hilton Garden Inn
October 2017 - Online survey
September 14, 2017 - CNIP kickoff meetings at Sharon Presbyterian Church

Please note this is the funding amount and includes all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.
