Project phase

 Project updates

For nearly 100 years, the Vest Water Treatment Plant has stood as a landmark along Beatties Ford Road. This project will replace equipment that's nearing the end of its useful life, as well as upgrade aging infrastructure to use new technology to reduce energy consumption, improve efficiency in operations and end costly and time-consuming maintenance.

  • Construction start: May 2019
  • Construction completion: Mid-2021
  • All the improvements are inside the property fence.
  • The parking lot, at the corner of Beatties Ford Road and Oaklawn Avenue, will be closed as part of the construction project.
  • Normal work hours: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
    • The contractor will work nights and weekends only as needed.
  • Expect construction to be noisy and brief lane closures during deliveries of equipment and materials.
  • Work will not affect service to customers.
  • Photobook of water and wastewater construction
  • Updates will be posted on this website and NextDoor.
  • Provide more redundancy and resiliency in our water treatment capabilities.

  • Areas near construction will be notified before construction. There will be planned water outages to move customer’s service. Property owners will be notified in advance. If there is an unplanned water outage, crews will work to fix it immediately.

  • $30 million
