 Project updates

​This project will make improvements to the intersection of Sandy Porter Road and  South Tryon Street. Improvements including adding capacity to left-turn lanes, extending medians and sidewalk planting strips. 

  • ​​​To increase safety for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists in the area

  • To relieve capacity issues at the intersection

​​​Please note this is the funding amount and includes all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.
