​Charlotte Water (CLTWater) is planning to replace existing 2-inch galvanized steel pipe (GSP) water mains with new 2 and 6-inch water mains within the areas listed below:

1. Rollingwood Drive from Sargeant Drive to the dead-end
   
2. Sunnycrest Lane from Scottsdale Road to Crestridge Drive
   
3. Scottsdale Road from Broadview Drive to the dead-end
   
4. Lynette Court from Rollingwood Drive to the dead-end
   
5. Homewood Place from Manchester Drive to Blandwood Drive
   
6. Blandwood Drive at the dead-end (3900 block)
   
7. Manchester Drive at the dead-end (3900 block)

• Construction starts: First week of June 2019.
  
• Construction completion: An estimated four months
• Normal work hours: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
• The contractor will work nights and weekends only as needed.
• ​​Staff will notify affected customers of planned water outages 72-hours in advance.
  
• Any unplanned water outages are considered emergencies and will be repaired as soon as possible.
  
• Construction may cause temporary cloudy, discolored water or lower than usual pressure. If you experience this, please run cold water for up to 15 minutes. If water doesn't clear, please call 311 and say or select 'water emergency' for assistance.
  
• Lane closures may be required daily in coordination with CDOT.
  
• CLTWater works with CDOT and NCDOT to minimize traffic disruption. CDOT permitted road closures are posted on the CDOT's website.
  
• Updates will be posted on this website and NextDoor.
  

• ​​Replace drinking water pipes due to age.
  
• The project will enhance water quality and pressure.
  

• ​​Areas near construction will be notified before construction. There will be planned water outages to move customer’s service. Property owners will be notified in advance. If there is an unplanned water outage, crews will work to fix it immediately.
