Nannie Potts Lane Wastewater Extension Project
Project phase

 Project updates

What to expect:

Construction can be loud, dirty, and inconvenient. Crews will be using large machinery and storing materials within construction easements on site.

  • Clearing - CLTWater removes trees, shrubs, bushes, and other vegetation inside the construction easement before installing the wastewater pipe. When and where possible, trees on the edge of the temporary construction easement are preserved.
  • Pipe delivery and storage – Pipes, large manholes, and other materials are delivered and stored within the construction easements and road right-of-ways.
  • Establishing a safe work zone – Fencing will be put in place and pipes will be stabilized to prevent it from moving.
  • Trench digging.
  • Construction traffic (excavators, dump trucks) will be within the easements. Roads will be open during the project. Flaggers will assist drivers around the construction area.

  • Charlotte Water (CLTWater) will install gravity sanitary sewer (wastewater) and serve properties on Nannie Potts Lane.
  • To design the optimal route for this project, engineers have taken many factors into account including engineering specifications, human and environmental impacts, regulatory requirements, and budget.

Properties that will be directly affected by construction will be contacted to discuss easement agreements. Areas near construction will be notified before construction begins.

To be determined.
