Water Replacement Project for Bramble Place, Greenview Place, Westridge Drive, Woodway Place, and Allenbrook Drive

  • CLTWater is planning to replace existing 2-inch galvanized steel pipe (GSP) water mains with new 2 and 6-inch water mains within the areas listed below:
  • Area includes:
    • Bramble Place from Brooktree Drive to Dead End
    • Greenview Place from Westridge Drive to Dead End
    • Westridge Drive from Lanewood Place to Dead End
    • Woodway Place from 4832 Woodway Place to 4700 Woodway Place
    • Allenbrook Drive from 1235 Allenbrook Drive to Dead End
    • Allenbrook Drive from 1500 Allenbrook Drive to 1600 Allenbrook Drive
  • CLTWater will replace the pipe under the road and road right-of-way that is past its useful life.
  • Staff will notify affected customers of planned water outages 72-hours in advance.
    • Any unplanned water outages are considered emergencies and will be repaired as soon as possible.
  • Construction may cause temporary cloudy, discolored water or lower than usual pressure. If you experience this, please run cold water for up to 15 minutes. If water doesn't clear, please call 311 and say or select 'water emergency' for assistance.
  • The project includes restoration of affected sidewalks and roadways
  • The typical construction zone is a few street blocks.
  • Lane closures may be required daily in coordination with CDOT. 
    • CLTWater works with CDOT and NCDOT to minimize traffic disruption.
    • CDOT permitted road closures are posted on the CDOT's website

  • In the effort to maintain quality service, CLTWater must occasionally replace water mains.
  • Replacing pipes under the road right-of-way and service lines (between pipe under the street to water meter) reduce future leaks/repairs due to age.
  • The project will enhance water quality and pressure.

​Areas near construction were notified before construction. There will be planned water outages to move customer’s services to new pipes. Property owners will be notified in advance. If there are unplanned water outage, crews will work to fix it immediately.​​
