Host Employer Experience

With your help, each year the Mayor's Youth Employment Program (MYEP) trains and develops the future workforce for the City of Charlotte.  Youth provide multiple benefits to businesses, such as increased productivity by having students engaged in meaningful task and project work.

MYEP 35th Anniversary Logo

"My experience with the MYEP youth program, has been nothing but great. I was introduced to the program about 8 years ago. I was so impressed with the program, that I teamed up with wonderful staff members that lead the program. They helped me get involved and to create an apprenticeship program for mechanics here at Charlotte Area Transit. I have had success in recruiting mechanics because of the program. Dawn and her team are a great partner with me and my team. I know our relationship with the MYEP program has set the city of Charlotte future in a great place. "

- Reginald Arrington

"This has been a rewarding experience for not only the MYEP interns, but for the Ally team, too! The students left an indelible mark and established a standard of excellence for future cohorts. We are proud!" - Crystal Williams, Ally Bank Director | Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

Danielle Frazier (Charlotte Works) stated:  “[Diamond] was a pleasure to work with.  She always displayed a high level of professionalism and had a great attitude and we would like for her to continue participating in our ambassador program.”
