In 2010, we celebrated the decision of Electrolux to establish its North American Headquarters in Charlotte, committing over 700 jobs to our community.

The following year, we were equally pleased when Electrolux announced the addition of 200 jobs to its Charlotte campus.
Electrolux continues to exceed our expectations. Today, we celebrate the decision of this very special corporate citizen to sink its roots even deeper into our community with a new expansion that will add hundreds of additional jobs to Charlotte.
I may be slightly biased, but in my opinion, this decision makes sense. Electrolux has a footprint that literally spans the globe…and so does Charlotte. Ours is becoming a city of global significance and our future is bright.
Our workforce…the lifeblood of our corporate and industrial strength, is skilled and Charlotte continues to attract some of the brightest minds in the world. We offer an attractive quality of life, and our airport is a gateway to the world.
I would like to express my thanks to Electrolux CEO Jack Truong and his team for showing continued confidence in Charlotte. We are proud that you call Charlotte home and we look forward to your continued growth and engagement in the Charlotte community.
I also want to thank Governor McCrory for his hands-on approach to this very important project for Charlotte and the state of North Carolina.
