Rollout/Recycle Containers<div class="ExternalClass8C682472D7604645840F82385082205A"><h2 class="ExternalClassD293C866BA1D40C7ABC149550F3593C1">$150 FINE</h2><div class="ExternalClassD293C866BA1D40C7ABC149550F3593C1"><ul><li><p>Rollout containers may be placed at the curb no earlier than the day before the collection day and must be removed by midnight on the collection day. </p></li><li><p>Rollout containers should not block the sidewalk.</p></li></ul></div></div>
Yard Waste<div class="ExternalClass535353BAF5164AC2982858B7101D65D0"><h2>$150 FINE</h2><ul><li><p>Yard waste shall not be placed at curbside any earlier than the day before the collection date.</p></li><li>Starting July 5, 2021, SWS will no longer accept yard waste in plastic bags. Residents should use compostable paper yard waste bags (paper only, no plastic) or reusable 32-gallon personal containers for yard waste (leaves, grass clippings, small limbs and brush) collection.<p></p></li><li><p>Limbs must be no longer than five feet and no larger than four inches in diameter.</p></li><li><p>Tree trunks must be four inches in diameter or less. The City will not collect tree stumps.</p></li></ul></div>
Bulky & Junk Items<div class="ExternalClassC366B5DBA0644F75AABF296B91C224A8"><div><h2 class="ExternalClassCEB73C14EAF5451088B321A7FC697171">$150 FINE</h2><div><ul><li><p>Eligible items must be scheduled for collection. Call 311 to schedule a pickup.</p></li><li><p>Items cannot be placed at curbside prior to scheduling.</p></li><li><p>Bulky items cannot be placed at the curb any earlier than one day before the scheduled pick-up date. Schedule a pickup.</p></li></ul></div></div></div>
Neglect of Premise<div class="ExternalClass09D049AA7D6A44B0B437307753E6DA76"><h2>$150 FINE</h2><p><br>Neglect of property is considered as causing or allowing unsightly litter, tall weeds, and grass, yard waste, foul odor, dead animals, junk, unsecured appliances or potentially dangerous devices to remain on or emanate from the property. You may also receive a violation if you discard, abandon or cause these issues on public property, private property, vacant lots or any pond, stream or body of water or banks thereof within the city limits and/or property that is in a littered condition -- such as dilapidated furniture, appliances, machinery, equipment, building materials, automotive parts, tires or any other items which are in a wholly or partially rusted, wrecked, junked, dismantled or inoperative condition and are not completely enclosed within a building or dwelling -- will result in a violation.</p></div>
Illegal Dumping<div class="ExternalClass77C5DA9B1BA64034A2E9BFCCFD23C448"><h2>$500 FINE</h2><p><br>Disposing of or discarding any litter on private or public property without the owner's permission will result in a violation.</p></div>
Signs<div class="ExternalClass1A3F69878C7F4513A41A8087683DC822"><h2>$100 FINE FOR EACH SIGN</h2><p> </p><p>Signs may not be placed within 11 feet of the edge of the pavement of any road, roadway, street or alley or within any public right-of-way, or upon any post, pole, tree, tree stake or guard, shrub, fire hydrant, or upon anything else within 11 feet of the edge of the public right-of-way or upon any bridge or overpass within the city limits.</p></div>
Tall Weeds & Grass<div class="ExternalClass6D514C900D5047C68B03B68B32DDE870"><h2>$150 FINE</h2><p><br>Failure to cut weeds or grass and overgrowth exceeding 12 inches will result in a violation.</p></div>
Abandoned Vehicles<div class="ExternalClassC485AAB5929C477DBA26DA4FA5A11DA4"><div><div><div><div style="color:#333333;line-height:20px;font-family:"open sans", sans-serif;font-size:14px;box-sizing:content-box;background-color:#ffffff;"><h2>Vehicle Towed</h2><p><br>Vehicles will be in violation if they are:<br>•On any public street or highway longer than seven days<br>•On property owned or operated by the City for longer than 24 hours<br>•On private property without the consent of the owner, occupant or lessee for longer than two hours</p><p> </p></div></div></div></div></div>
Hazardous Vehicles<div class="ExternalClassF8FC05B78B894B308C3BB40307723AAD"><h2>Vehicle Towed</h2><div> </div><p>Any motor vehicle that appears to be hazardous in nature may result in a violation. Examples: vehicle in danger of falling, source of entrapment, debris/junk discarded inside of vehicle, exposing general public to safety/health hazard.</p></div>
Junk Vehicles<div class="ExternalClassD99F8539D98C41729720E6B3360F8B8D"><h2>Vehicle Towed</h2><p><br>It is unlawful to have more than one junked motor vehicle on the premises of public or private property. One junked motor vehicle in its entirety can be located in the rear yard if the junked motor vehicle is entirely concealed by an acceptable canvas covering.</p></div>
Parking on the Front Lawn<div class="ExternalClassE9CC074497DE48B59556123EF803F0E7"><h2>$25 FINE</h2><p><br>Parking in the front yard or front and side yards of a corner lot is a code violation except if the vehicle is on an improved driveway or parking pad.</p></div>
