Serve in a quasi-judicial role in determining appeals and variances related to the Charlotte Tree Ordinance
To advise and support City Council and assist City leaders on issues affecting Charlotte' urban forest
Administer the Mayor's Crown Tree Awards Program

NOTE: Applications must be fully completed and include fee payment to be considered.
Nominations are now open for the Crown Tree Awards, which celebrate Charlotte’s amazing urban forest and the citizens who preserve, grow and advocate for it. Nominations are open to all and must be submitted by April 30, 2025 by 5:00pm. Applicants must include award category, pictures, and a description of why their nominee should win!
Winners will receive a beautiful, locally sourced wood plaque and certificate. Members of the Charlotte Tree Advisory Commission will honor winners at the June business meeting. Winners will also be acknowledged by the Mayor and City Council.
