​OAKLAWN CEMETERY

Oaklawn Cemetery was originally established as a private cemetery by J.J. Misenheimer. The first interment in Oaklawn took place in 1916. The City of Charlotte took over the operation of Oaklawn from the Hendrix family on November 1, 1956.​
