The first Charlotte-Mecklenburg All Hazards Advisory Committee (AHAC) Conference will be held October 4-5, 2018! The AHAC Conference is aimed at bringing regularly attending members of as well as other potential members and partners from the community to learn more about topics including response efforts of our partners, local disaster response, emergency management, and more.

  • Location: Charlotte Police and Fire Training Academy, 1770 Shopton Road, Charlotte, NC 28217
  • Dates: Thursday October 4, 2018, 8:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m. and Friday October 5, 2018, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • Registration Fee: Registration will be $65. To pre-register for the conference go to the pre-registration form.

To Register:


Step 1: Fill out the conference pre-registration form(see below). Once you complete the form, you will receive a registration number. Note this number as you will use it when you pay the registration fee.


Step 2: Pay the registration fee of $65 at http://charlottenc.gov/Fire/CFDIntheCommunity/SiteAssets/ConferencePayment.html. On the first page, you will be asked for the conference name. Please enter “AHAC Conference”. You will also be asked for a registration number. Please enter the registration number you received after filling out the registration form. If you have questions about what your number is, please contact Hannah Panicco at Hannah.panicco@charlottenc.gov. If you have already pre-registered prior to September 24, 2018 you did not receive a registration number. You can use your first and last name as your registration code.  The next page will ask you to enter the conference registration fee amount. Please enter $65.00 and click submit. The final page is where you will enter payment information. You will receive a digital receipt upon payment.

About AHAC

The Mecklenburg County AHAC serves as Mecklenburg County's Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and focuses on an all-hazards approach, providing an interagency platform for communication during planned events and emergencies alike.

AHAC meetings are hosted quarterly and are aimed at obtaining feedback and providing updates among stakeholders.

Who should attend?

Members who represent their agency during planned events or during emergency response, particularly members who lead an Emergency Support Function (ESF) or serve as their agency's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) representative.

2018 Meetings

All AHAC meetings take place at the Charlotte Police and Fire Training Academy on 1770 Shopton Road in room C2110 (EOC). Space in the EOC is limited so please sign up if you plan to attend a meeting.

  • Please note that the regularly scheduled November meeting has been canceled for 2018 due to the AHAC Conference taking place in October.
  • All 2019 meeting dates and times will be announced by the end of the 2018 calendar year.
