The utility is responsible for over 4,000 miles of water mains, and over an additional 4,000 miles of wastewater mains. Maintaining this infrastructure often requires Charlotte Water staff to work in confined spaces, thus creating a need to acquire and maintain confined space entry equipment, as well as train staff on how to use the equipment.
