Education: UNC Charlotte, Master’s degree in management; Arizona State University, Bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and a certificate in business analysis; Central Piedmont Community College, Associate’s of Arts, certificates in project management, data analytics, and various technical certificates relative to her small business.
Professional Experience: Council Member Molina has extensive professional experience in the banking and financial services sector. During the Covid-19 pandemic she worked for Dream Key Partners where she assisted Spanish-speaking Charlotte families in accessing rent, mortgage, and utilities assistance. Molina also has experience as a small business owner, having launched an auto-repair business in 2007 in Charlotte that provided a variety of services.
Civic Engagement: She was named a Global Champion of Women's Economic Empowerment by United Nations Women and led a Charlotte office for the North Carolina Democratic Party that organized voters to support all Democratic candidates and Hillary for America. She has served in numerous community organizations, including Mecklenburg County Women’s Advisory Board, and the Diversity, Equity and Global Association Board of the YMCA of Greater Charlotte. Marjorie is currently an advisory board member for the United States Global Leadership Coalition.
Key Achievements: Since being elected, Council Member Molina has voted to reserve $20 million in funding for the Eastland Yards redevelopment, add $5 million to Corridors of Opportunity project enhancement, approve $4.2 million in funds to the HOMES program that reduces home tax bills, and provide more than $1 million to Charlotte Business Inclusion for minority business support and other programs.

Platforms and Goals: Council Member Molina's primary goal is to work with the Council and staff to foster evidence-based policies and systems that address our opportunity gaps. Her key priorities are workforce development and small business support, responsible infrastructure decisions, the economic empowerment of more women in our community, and focusing on equity and inclusion.
Awards and Recognitions: She was personally recognized by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for her work on the Hillary for America campaign. While studying at ASU, she completed the Capital Scholar Program in public policy working at the Nobel Peace Prize-winning international nonprofit Physicians for Social Responsibility in Washington, DC. Council Member Molina also received the Clovis Campbell Sr. Endowment for Race and Democracy.
