Education: Princeton University, bachelor’s degree in economics, graduate studies in mathematical economics at Berlin and Oxford Universities
Professional Experience: Council Member Driggs had a career in finance, where he specialized in arranging financings and securities offerings for corporate clients and advising them on strategic transactions.
Civic Engagement: He has served on the boards of Communities in Schools, WTVI, the national Association of Public Television Stations, Goodwill Industries of Southern Piedmont, the Blumenthal Center for the Performing Arts, the Arts and Science Council and the North Carolina League of Muncipalities and also served as a member of the President’s Council at Central Piedmont Community College.
He has tutored students at E.E. Waddell High School, assisted at the Classroom Central distribution center, and given classes in economics and personal finance at CMS schools and CPCC.
Key Achievements: Engagement with the North Carolina General Assembly on matters affecting Charlotte, obtaining funding for roads and sidewalks in District 7, weekly meetings with constituents to talk about Council activity.

Platform and Goals: In addition to representing his District 7 constituents, he is committed to advancing Charlotte’s mobility goals and successfully implanting the recently adopted Unified Development Ordinance.
Awards and Recognitions: He has been recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow for his donations to the Rotary International Foundation and received the David Bruger Prize for service to public television nationwide.
