Jack Christine, Chief Infrastructure Officer
Jack Christine is the Chief Infrastructure Officer of Charlotte Douglas International Airport, which is owned and operated by the City of Charlotte.
He is responsible for airport operations, facility maintenance, planning and development which includes Destination CLT, a $2.5-$3.1 billion capital investment in airport capacity enhancements.
He joined the Aviation Department in 1997 as a planning assistant. Since then, he has worked on a variety of projects that have included terminal expansions, the third parallel runway, a rail freight intermodal facility and the Aviation Department’s consolidated rental car facility. His experience includes time spent working as the department’s planner, planning and development manager and assistant aviation director of development.
In his current role, Christine oversees Destination CLT, a five-year, $2.5 -$3.1 billion capital program that includes planning, design and construction of expansions of the terminal and concourses, and the development of numerous airfield projects including a fourth parallel runway. He also is responsible for all aspects of maintenance of airport property. This includes building, airside, landside and vehicle maintenance.
Christine also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he teaches courses on airport development. He is a 1996 graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Airport Management and Aviation Safety. He also earned a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Christine is an Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) through the American Association of Airport Executives and serves as an at-large member of the Association’s Board of Examiners.
