Meck County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan Public Meeting

Next date: Thursday, January 09, 2025 | 05:00 PM

Mecklenburg County and incorporated communities are updating the Mecklenburg County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan and are seeking public input on changes in risks, vulnerabilities and opportunities for mitigation.

Virtual Public Meeting, January 9 at 5 p.m.

Join us for a virtual public meeting on Thursday, January 9 at 5 p.m. to learn about the plan update process, review the identified hazards, and provide your input to the planning team.

Register here to attend the public meeting.

Public input is critical to the planning process. If you are unable to attend the public meeting but still want to be involved in the planning process, please take a few minutes to complete a brief public survey to provide your input on hazard risks and mitigation options.

Additional Information

• This plan update is required for all communities to maintain eligibility for pre- and post-disaster mitigation funding from FEMA. This effort will also help our communities understand vulnerability and develop ways to proactively reduce risk.
