The City of Charlotte is Certified Welcoming, a formal designation for cities and counties that have created policies and programs reflecting their values and commitment to immigrant inclusion. This designation comes directly from Welcoming America.
We are incredibly proud of our status as a Certified Welcoming city, and we acknowledge that this designation would not be possible without the many organizations and resources across Charlotte that provide support for local immigrants, refugees, and asylees. As part of Welcoming Charlotte, an ongoing initiative to live up to our Certified Welcoming designation, we have compiled the following list of resources to help welcome new residents to our city.

While we hope to have included as many useful resources as possible, we acknowledge that there are likely some we have missed. Charlotte is a diverse community with many opportunities to connect. If you do not see an organization listed that aligns with your country of origin or individual ethnicity, that does not mean that it doesn’t exist. Please utilize the other available resources for more information; they may be able to connect you to the right group.
