No Delay to Veterans Day Collection Schedule

City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services will collect garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulky waste as scheduled on Monday, Nov. 11.

The city will be closed on Veterans Day, but there will be no delay to collection services. Be sure that carts are put at the curb no later than 6 a.m. on collection day. It will be a green recycling week.

You can find your collection day by visiting the GeoPortal. Simply type in your address to be reminded of what day of the week you receive service and if you are an orange or green recycling week.

Solid Waste Services offers collection updates via text. Residents who would like to receive updates regarding impacts to their collection service can text their day of service to 73224. For example, if their collection day is Thursday, they would text “Thursday” to 73224.
