Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in Charlotte, North Carolina is as easy as spending a day supporting our many Latinx-owned businesses.
To kick things off, head to the Eastside! There are a ton of opportunities to dine, shop, and experience all that our Hispanic community has to offer in the area surrounding Albemarle and Central. Here are some suggestions for how to spend your day...

Manolo’s Latin Bakery
Manolo Betancur and his award-winning bakery at 4405 Central Avenue is as well-known in Charlotte as it is tasty, but we couldn’t resist giving another shoutout to this delicious family-run shop. Taqueria Number 1

This Latin American restaurant combines Honduran, Mexican, and El Salvadoran cuisines for a tasty experience that will satisfy the whole family. Charlotte Museum of History’s Independence Day Celebrations
The museum hosts several Independence Day celebrations for Latin countries throughout the year, but 3 of these events are happening during Hispanic Heritage Month. These are free to attend, so head to 3500 Shamrock Drive from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for the following:
