CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Oct. 8, 2024) — The City of Charlotte is excited to announce the launch of its brand-new streaming app for its government television channel.

The app will allow residents anywhere to stay up to date on important city announcements, events and council meetings from the comfort of their mobile devices or TVs without the need for a cable subscription.

“The new streaming app is a game-changer for how residents can engage with the city and stay informed,” said City of Charlotte Communications Director Jason Schneider. “This app allows us to deliver important updates and information directly to our residents, whether at home or on the go and will make city meetings and content much more accessible not just to residents but to anyone who has access to streaming apps across the region and the country.”

Key Features of the App Include:

  • Live Streaming: Watch city council meetings, public forums, and community events as they happen.
  • On-Demand Access: Catch up on city briefings and highlights anytime.
  • Exclusive Content: Enjoy interviews and special features related to city initiatives.

The app is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility, communication and engagement with the community.
