Charlotte Fire honors the brave individuals who demonstrated personal courage and extraordinary bravery under life-threatening circumstances with the Charlotte Fire Award for Bravery.
The Award for Bravery is presented to members who exhibit personal courage and bravery under extraordinary circumstances, often putting their own safety at risk in an effort to protect or rescue another life. During the incident on April 29th, these firefighters and officers embodied this ethos, stepping forward in the face of imminent danger.
