World Day of Remembrance

Sunday, November 17 is World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDoR). On World Day of Remembrance, we grieve and remember those killed and injured in crashes on our streets. The City of Charlotte has hosted a WDoR event in some capacity since 2019. This year, NC Families for Safe Streets is hosting their annual statewide event in Charlotte in collaboration with the Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) and the Institute for Transportation Research and Education. Participants will hear from a variety of speakers, including CDOT Deputy Director Charlie Jones, and remember their loved ones in a variety of ways. Educational tables will also be setup throughout the event. ·
