Entry level pay for police officers starts at $45,757, and can top $94,909.
Pay incentives for Associates (+5%, $48,044) and Bachelors (+10%, $50,332) Degrees.
Veterans may be eligible to receive VA benefits and supplements.
20 to 30 vacation days per year
(based on years of service with the City of Charlotte)
12 sick days per year.
2 weeks leave for annual training for Reservists/National Guard.
5% pay incentive for proficiency in Spanish.
5% pay incentive for Police Training Officer status.

Paid life insurance of double annual salary up to $100,000.
401(k) provided by the city - 5% of salary contributed by the City for sworn personnel.
Education tuition reimbursement program.
Eligible for full retirement benefits from the city and state after 30 years of credible service or at age 55. Sworn employees contribute 6% to Local Government Employees Retirement System.
