Temporary Rail Trail Closure

Beginning Monday, July 15, a portion of the Rail Trail, between Tremont and Remount, will be temporarily closed due to nearby construction. Signs will be in place to guide Rail Trail users away from the construction and back to an open portion of the trail. The Rail Trail will reopen to the public on July 18, except for a small portion along the frontage of a development on Hawkins Street. This part of the closure is expected to last through the summer. A private developer is making improvements to the Rail Trail including ballast curb, fencing, landscaping, lighting and bike racks.
