As part of the October service changes that began today, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) made changes to express routes in the bus network, thanks to data received from public outreach and an express route survey.

Beginning this morning, routes 63x – Huntersville Express and 77x – North Mecklenburg added an earlier outbound afternoon trip at 3:20 p.m. on weekdays. This change comes from riders providing their feedback to CATS. Many riders have expressed the need for an earlier afternoon trip from Uptown back to their respective Park and Rides in order to accommodate needs like childcare, appointments and altered work schedules.

In addition, route 74x – Union County Express is shorter after this morning’s service change. Read all about that change, and the important public feedback that kept the route from being removed completely, on RideTransit.org.

CATS appreciates the feedback of our riders and especially those riders who recently filled out the CATS express service survey in August. Your feedback, both through the survey and at community meetings, has been a driving force behind this change.
