Public Meetings on Microtransit, Conversion of Routes 97, 98, 99 and 290
The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will host public meetings to inform riders about its microtransit service. The meeting will also cover the proposed conversion to microtransit of routes 97, 98, 99 and 290. These changes would occur in 2025.
Microtransit is a convenient, on-demand transit option that uses smaller vehicles to provide point-to-point trips within designated zones. Microtransit is set to replace Village Rider routes 97, 98, 99 and route 290.
CATS will hold public meetings at the following locations:
- Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. virtual meeting via
- Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Huntersville Town Hall

CATS personnel will also ride along and conduct surveys on select bus trips to gather additional public feedback.
