Temporary CATS Bus Detour – Matthews Alive Festival Detour

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will temporarily adjust the following routes due to road closures for the Matthews Alive Festival this weekend.   

  • Routes: 27 and 51
  • Where: Trade Street, John Street and Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Matthews
  • When: Aug. 31 from 7 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and Sept. 2 from 7 – 9:30 a.m.

  • Stops missed:
  • 16640 – Monroe Road and Lois Street
  • 36480 – Monroe Road and Highway 51
  • 37480 – John Street and Ames Road (outbound)
  • 07650 – John Street and Ames Road (inbound)
  • 37240 – Trade Street and Charles Street
  • 37170 – Trade Street and Matthews Station Street
  • 37235 – Trade Street and Park Center Drive (inbound)
  • 37176 – Trade Street and Park Center Drive (outbound)
  • 37180 – Trade Street and Matthews Township Parkway
  • 37230 – Matthews-Mint Hill Road at Presbyterian Hospital
  • 37250 – Matthews-Mint Hill Road at 701 (Conbraco)
  • 37220 – Matthews-Mint Hill Road and Crestdale Road
  • 37210 – Independence Pointe Parkway and Matthews-Mint Hill Road
