Temporary CATS Bus Detour – Labor Day Parade 2024

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will temporarily adjust the following routes and the Gold Line due to road closures for the Labor Day Parade in Uptown on Monday, Sept. 2.

  • Routes: 1, 5, 7, 8, 11, 16, 21, 22, 26, 34, 35, Gold Line
  • Where: Tryon Street between 9th and 3rd streets
  • When: Monday, Sept. 2 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

  • 45749 – 4th and Church Street
  • 38420 – 4th and Poplar Street
  • 59660 – 4th and Graham Street
  • 45720 – Trade and Graham Street
  • 44045 – Trade and Church Street
  • 08430 – Trade and College Street
  • 37412 – Tryon Street and Brooklyn Village Avenue
  • 25720 – Tryon and 2nd Street
  • 25660 – Tryon and 3rd Street
  • 25641 – Tryon and Trade Street
  • 18120 – Tryon and 6th Street
  • 18150 – Tryon and 8th Street
  • 18190 – Tryon and Montford Point Street

In addition, Gold Line service will be temporarily interrupted from French Street to CTC stations on Monday, Sept. 2 during the Labor Day Parade. A bus bridge will be in place from French to CTC stations during that time. Mint and Tryon Street stations along the Gold Line will not have service during this time. Gold Line service to stations between CTC and Sunnyside will be impacted due to the Labor Day Parade road closures. At 2 p.m. all stations on the Gold Line will return to normal service.
