AC&C partners with many local, regional and national rescue groups.
The rescue groups listed below have submitted applications to AC&C and are authorized to adopt animals from us. These groups also assist us by caring for animals that have special needs and would otherwise not find a home.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank these groups for their continued support and encourage you to contact them if you can not find the type of pet you are looking for on our website.
If you are the owner/founder/or part of a rescue group and would like to become a certified rescue group partner with AC&C, and on adoptcharlotte.org as well as in our list below, go to the Rescue Partner Animal Portal page. We'd love to partner with you!
Special thank you to the Carolina Raptor Center: this is a non-profit organization that rescues and rehabs injured raptors and houses other birds. Visitors can come to see their birds and learn about more who lives right here in the Carolinas. They have a big facility to house and rehab injured and orphaned raptors before releasing them into the wild when they are ready to go. They regularly take in injured birds from us that are brought in by our officers and have saved so many.
Special thank you to the Carolina Waterfowl Rescue: this is a non-profit organization that rescues and rehabs waterfowl birds but also takes in so much more.
