bless you heart clinic, ac&c, petsmart charities logos

Thanks to a generous grant from PetSmart Charities, the Bless Your Heart pilot program was started in 2021 to assist dogs and their owners who live in Charlotte-Mecklenburg.

Canine heartworm disease is a life threatening condition that is not always outwardly visible, but it can be treated and is easily preventable.  Our clinic's goal is to be able to provide heartworm testing, and preventatives or treatment for dogs of families that otherwise would not have access to veterinary care.

At our clinic, dogs will have a general wellness exam and heartworm test with a veterinarian, receive CORE vaccines and a microchip that links them to their owners.  With point of care heartworm tests which provide results in just a few minutes, we can provide 6 months of preventative, or help them with a treatment plan.

This is a need-based clinic, and there are limited spaces available.  All dogs must have an appointment, so please fill out the online form and we will contact you.
