Please read - South End Vision Plan Update!

The South End Vision Plan public comment has been postponed and will not occur at the upcoming December 11, 2017 City Council meeting. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused those who were planning to attend or comment at this City Council meeting.

As part of the on-going adoption process, the South End Vision Plan Team will be reviewing the Vison Plan with the City Council’s Transportation and Planning Committee (a City Council subcommittee) in early 2018.   

The Team would love to hear your input and thoughts regarding the plan. If you have comments regarding the vision plan or plan amendments feel free to email Klint Mullis with Charlotte Center City Partners,, or Monica Holmes,, with the City of Charlotte.

The South End Vision Plan focuses on the area within Center City Partner’s Municipal Service District boundary and was created by compiling extensive input from South End neighborhood leaders, business owners, residents and other stakeholders.  It envisions a South End that continues to be on Charlotte’s leading edge of urban livability, technology and sustainability. 

The Plan includes a refreshed vision statement, along with goals and implementation strategies to achieve that vision, including amendments to two existing area plans (South End Station Area Plan and New Bern Station Area Plan).  The Plan also incorporates the recommendations from detailed corridor studies for South Tryon Street and South Blvd. within the plan area.
