City of Charlotte, NCDOT to hold 2nd public workshop for Charlotte Gateway Station area study

Charlotte, N.C. – The City of Charlotte and the North Carolina Department of Transportation will host a public workshop on Wednesday, November 9, where staff will present a refined Charlotte Gateway Station (CGS) area concept. Attendees will have the opportunity to give their feedback on land use, development opportunities, transportation connections, and desired amenities for the future station area.

About Charlotte Gateway Station

The Charlotte Gateway Station (CGS), a partnership between the City of Charlotte and the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), will be a comprehensive multi-modal transportation facility in vibrant uptown Charlotte at the intersection of West Trade and Graham Streets. This signature passenger station will provide both long-distance travelers and daily-commuters with access to CityLYNX Gold Line streetcar service, CATS local and express bus service, the future LYNX Red Line, and inter-city transportation including Amtrak trains and Greyhound buses.
