Charlotte, N.C. - Charlotte Area Transit System will implement planned service adjustments on several bus routes beginning Monday, February 1. The following routes will experience modifications:
Route 1 Mount Holly Road: The current detour via Todd Park on outbound trips to Paw Creek will be discontinued.
Route 30 Woodlawn Scaleybark Crosstown: Service along Old Steele Creek Road will be discontinued and replaced with new service on the Route 60. The Route 30 will operate via Remount Road in both directions between Wilkinson Boulevard and West Boulevard.
Route 43 Ballantyne: New outbound service will be added via North Community House Road. Existing routing on Brixham Hill Avenue and Ballantyne Medical Place will be discontinued. The end of the line will move to the Ballantyne Corporate Place bus stop near the Aloft Hotel.
Route 45X Carmel Road Express: New service will be added to serve the new County offices on Suttle Avenue via West Morehead Street. Existing inbound routing via South Church Street will be replaced with new routing from 4th Street to West Trade Street via Poplar Street.
Route 60 Tyvola Road : Service will be extended to Westerly Hills via West Tyovla Road, Old Steele Creek Road, and Ashley Road. New Saturday service will be added. Two new weekday trips will serve Marion Diehl Park, arriving at 8:38am and departing at 3:15pm. Existing service to New Renaissance, West Blvd, and Yorkmount Road will be discontinued.
Additionally, minor time changes will be implemented for the following bus routes: 2, 7, 11, and 25.
