CATS Interrupts LYNX Service for Scheduled Construction January 9-10

CATS
1/8/2016
Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will perform a line cut January 9-10 due to construction work for the LYNX Blue Line Capacity Expansion Project. During this time, the LYNX Blue Line will only operate between the I-485/South Boulevard Station and the Scaleybark Station. There will be no train service from the New Bern Station to the Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC)/Arena Stations.

Service from the New Bern Station to the CTC/Arena Stations will only be accessible via CATS bus service. Each affected station will have signage directing customers to the nearest bus stop. Look for the bus stop that says "LYNX Connector." When the bus approaches, the headway sign will say "LYNX Connector."

Customers in Uptown can access the LYNX Connector at Bay V on the Brevard Street side of the CTC. Other stations in Uptown, including the 7th Street Station, will not be served by the LYNX Connector.

Regular local fare will be required and, as always, serves as a transfer. Tickets can be purchased at open LYNX stations from the ticket vending machines. Customers paying their fare on the bus will need exact change. The bus driver cannot make change and the fareboxes do not accept credit cards.
