Charlotte, NC — What does it mean to be recognized for doing inspirational work in our communities? Find out by viewing this short video featuring past winners of the Neighborhood Leadership Awards. The City of Charlotte is now accepting nominations for the 2017 Neighborhood Leadership Awards for neighborhood organizations, nonprofits and businesses that have made a positive impact on our neighborhoods.

 

Award categories include:

  • Community Safety Ambassador Award
  • Embracing Diversity Award
  • Good Neighbors Award
  • Moving Charlotte Forward Award
  • Sustainability Leadership Award
  • Community Service Award (For Profit/Business)
  • Community Service Award (Nonprofit/Not for profit)
  • Neighborhood – School Engagement Award

 

All award nominations must be for neighborhood projects or work successfully implemented between Sept. 1, 2016 and Aug. 18, 2017. The deadline for nominations is Friday, Aug. 18, 2017.

 

This year's winners will be recognized at a luncheon, part of the 2017 Neighborhood Exchange & Leadership Awards, on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at the Charlotte Convention Center.

The Neighborhood Exchange & Leadership Awards is a free event that will feature group discussions on the topics of your choosing and an awards luncheon recognizing neighborhoods, nonprofits, and businesses working to keep our community strong.
