The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Missing Person Unit is conducting an investigation into the disappearance of Willie Raymond Taylor. The incident was reported in the 7000 Wallace Road in the Independence Division. The call for service came in at 11:13 a.m., on Thursday, April 14, 2016.

Independence Division patrol officers responded to a missing person call for service in the 7000 block of Wallace Road. The reporting person stated that her husband, Willie Raymond Taylor, was last seen walking away from the 7000 block of Wallace Road on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at 7:30 a.m. and enroute to an unknown destination. Mr. Taylor suffers from an cognitive impairment and there is some concern about his safety. Mr. Taylor was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap, blue jeans, black sneakers, dark pull-over jacket and wear glasses. Mr. Taylor has a very strong walking gate and may be trying to walk towards the Merriman Avenue area. 

Anyone who sees or has information about Willie Taylor is asked to call 911 immediately.
