Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Armed Robbery Unit have charged Marquese Addison, DOB: 09/05/1998, Ashanti Jackson, DOB: 01/30/1998, and a 13 year old male juvenile for their involvement in this armed robbery.
On Thursday, March 03, 2016, at approximately 3:45 a.m., Providence Division patrol officers responded to the 7-Eleven gas station located at 5343 Monroe Road in reference to an armed robbery from business call for service. The clerk advised that he was inside the store when the suspects entered and brandished a firearm. The suspects took property from the victim business and fled the scene on foot. A K9 Unit responded to the scene and tracked the suspects towards a parked vehicle. The three suspects were located inside and taken into custody without incident.
The suspects were then transported to police headquarters where they were interviewed by detectives. Upon completion of the interviews, Addison and Jackson were transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. The juvenile was transported to a juvenile facility.
