Armed Robbery Detectives arrest robbery suspects

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Armed Robbery Unit have charged Elijah Hallman, DOB: 07/24/89, and Cameron Hallman, DOB: 6/29/92, for their involvement in these armed robberies.

On April 11, 2018, at 2:00 a.m., Steele Creek Division Officers responded to an armed robbery from Wendy's, located at 7900 Arrowridge Blvd.  Upon arrival, officers were advised that a suspect brandished a weapon at the drive-thru window and demanded money.  The suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle that was being driven by a second suspect.  Report number 20180411020000.

About thirty minutes later, Westover Division Officers responded to an armed robbery from McDonald's, located at 4440 S Tryon St. On scene, officers were advised that a suspect brandished a weapon at the drive-thru window and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect then fled the scene on foot, with a second suspect following in a vehicle. While fleeing the scene, the suspect dropped loose change that led officers to locate a cellphone belonging to the suspect. Report number 20180411022901.

During the investigation, Armed Robbery Unit Detectives along with members from Crime Analysis identified Elijah Hallman as one of the suspects and obtained warrants for his arrest.  On April 12, 2018, Elijah Hallman was taken into custody without incident.  Detectives then identified Cameron Hallman as the second suspect in this case and obtained warrants for his arrest.  Detectives with the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team located and arrested Cameron Hallman on April 24, 2018 without incident and transported him to police headquarters where he was interviewed by Robbery detectives.

Elijah Hallman and Cameron Hallman were each charged with two counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery.
