Introduction to Forming a Neighborhood Organization 

The City of Charlotte is happy to present an exciting program to review the benefits of forming a neighborhood- based organization and to coach community members through recommended building blocks for forging a strong organizational foundation. Topics explored will include leadership structure, written procedures, and registering with the City. Refreshments and free parking are provided.

Conexiones: Exchanges Across Cultures with Food

Local immigrant chefs will provide delicious samples and share their journey to Charlotte. Attendees will be able to sample food from Tamaleria Laurita (Latin America), Le’s Sandwiches and Café (Asia), and La Shish Kabob (Middle East).

Rotary Club presents From Lebanon to the U.S.

Come engage with Dr. Nansi Boghossian as she discusses the struggles of the civil war in Beirut, her move to the US and her career path in both her native Beirut and the U.S. Currently, Dr. Goghossian is a perinatal epidemiologist and an assistant professor at the University of South Carolina in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics. Food is included in admission cost.

Las Americas Festival
