Hazard mitigation

Mecklenburg County, and participating cities and towns in the county, is preparing an update to its 2010 Hazard Mitigation Plan. The updated plan identifies local policies and actions for reducing risk and future losses from natural hazards such as floods, winter storms, tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, and hurricanes and tropical storms.
