Transcript: How to Ride the CityLYNX Gold Line

Welcome aboard the CityLYNX Gold Line. This service operates from French Street in Charlotte's Historic West End, through Center City Charlotte to Sunnyside Avenue in the Elizabeth neighborhood.

As you approach your Gold Line Stop, look for the platform side that travels toward the West End or toward the Elizabeth neighborhood in the East. Check the signs at the stops for schedule and directional information. Streetcar stops may be in the median of the street or on both sides of the street.

As the streetcar approaches, look for the destination sign located above the vehicle's windshield that will also tell you which direction you're traveling. If you are traveling to the Elizabeth neighborhood, look for the destination sign that says: Sunnyside Ave. If you are traveling to West End, look for the destination that says: French St.

As the vehicle approaches, please wait behind the tactile strip. Once it stops, allow passengers to exit before boarding. Please take a seat and secure your belongings. Be aware the streetcar can stop at any time. The CityLYNX Gold Line makes audio announcements on board to inform passengers of the next stop.

As the vehicle approaches your stop, gather your belongings. Move towards the doors and exit once they are completely open.

Be sure to move a safe distance away from the vehicle, so others can board, and use the pedestrian crossing to cross the street. Remember to NOT walk in front of the streetcar.

Riding the CityLYNX Gold Line is quick and easy. Give us a try for your next trip, and thanks for riding.
