What is ETC?

The Employee Transportation Coordinator (ETC) program is a resource for employers to offer transit information and benefits to their employees. Think of it like a partnership with CATS.

How Does ETC Work?

The program works by designating a person within your organization to act as a liaison and coordinate transit benefit activities.  The key activities of an ETC include:

  • Encouraging co-workers to use commute options available at their site.
  • Acting as the company contact for commuting issues.
  • Informing CATS marketing staff about how your organization can be better served.
  • Getting commuting information into newsletters, emails, websites, and hiring material.
  • Promoting commuting events at organization locations.
  • Arranging for CATS marketing staff to conduct transportation fairs at the workplace.
  • Offering employees telecommute options and flexible work schedules

ETC Employee Benefits

ETC Members enjoy valuable benefits, which include the following:

  • Provide cost saving benefits to employees
  • Increased parking space capacity by having more employees commute to work
  • Contribute to the air quality and traffic reduction efforts
  • Reduced employee turnover
  • Increased access to employees
  • Reduced payroll costs with the pre-tax commuter benefit

Transit Discounts
Organizations participating in the ETC Program are eligible for a 10% discount on transit passes. This discount
must be passed on to employees when purchased by employers.

Please note that the Senior/ADA Monthly and Senior/ADA 10-Ride passes are already discounted by 50%;
therefore, no further discounts apply.

  • 10% discount on transit passes
  • Pre-Tax deduction on transit & vanpool passes
