Fairview Road & Sharon Road
A new traffic signal has been approved by the Charlotte Department of Transportation for installation at Fairview Road and the South Park driveway closest to Sharon Road. As part of this installation, a median island will be constructed on Fairview Road that will only allow left turns off of Fairview. All side street traffic will have to turn right onto Fairview Road. The signal is being installed to help protect left turning vehicles on Fairview from crashing with the opposing through traffic. The signal will also provide improved pedestrian and bicycle crossings of Fairview Road.
