​Brevard Street and Parkwood Avenue

A new traffic signal has been approved by the City of Charlotte Department of Transportation for installation at the intersection of Brevard Street and Parkwood Avenue.  The signal is being installed to accommodate existing traffic, to improve access to the Brevard LYNX Blue Line Station and to better manage the flow of traffic along Parkwood Avenue.

Yes, for east bound Parkwood Avenue.

Yes, all legs. 

Where is the money for the signal coming from? 

CATS is funding this installation in conjunction with building the Blue Line Extension (BLE) light rail project.

Will any additional road construction take place before the signal is installed? 


When will the signal be operational? 

The signal is scheduled to be complete in spring 2018.
