 Project updates

In November 2014, voters approved $20 million for the Comprehensive Neighborhood Improvement Program (CNIP). This project was selected as one of the projects to move forward under the Prosperity Village CNIP. The Charlotte Department of Transportation will evaluate the need for a traffic signal at Prosperity Church Road and Katelyn Drive and a pedestrian beacon at Prosperity Church Road and Prosperity Point Lane. The treatments will be designed and installed as part of the project.

  • To maintain, stabilize and revitalize the neighborhood through comprehensive infrastructure improvements
  • To strengthen the neighborhood and surrounding community

An extensive public involvement process took place as part of the Prosperity Village CNIP, where residents identified improvements. Visit the Prosperity Village CNIP page to view meeting minutes and presentations.

To be determined

The Community Investment Plan approved by City Council in 2013 calls for voters to consider approval of funding for a number of infrastructure programs. Voters approved bond financing in 2014 and 2016 and will vote on further bond financing in 2018 and 2020. For this project, if voters approve funding, City staff engages the community to determine the details of what will ultimately be built. Once these details are known, the cost of the project is estimated and published. Learn more about the Community Investment Plan at http://charlottefuture.com
