Better Block Weekend at Five Points

During a fall weekend in November 2017, the Five Points Plaza was temporarily transformed by West Side community members, alongside urban designers. Improvements were based on feedback received during a spring 2017 community meeting, and they include a new art and entertainment plaza, pedestrian lighting, wide sidewalks, crosswalks, landscaping and public art. On Nov. 17 & 18, the West Side community made what they envisioned for the plaza a reality through the Better Block Project. The temporary transformation will ultimately shape the final design for the City's capital improvement project for Five Points.
