This project will replace the bridge on Barringer Drive spanning Irwin Creek, which is more than 60 years old. The bridge, which has reached the end of its functional life, will be replaced with a structure that will handle cars as well as pedestrians. The design includes sidewalks and upgraded classic concrete bridge rail. Accommodations are being made to ensure there is no hindrance to any future changes to the Irwin Creek Greenway.
Barringer Drive will be closed between Manchester Drive and Beech Nut Road during construction, which is expected to start in the summer of 2017 and last approximately six months. Traffic will be maintained using a signed detour route.
