​About the Coalition:

  • A regional healthcare preparedness program that enables Local, Regional, and State partners to collectively improve response and recovery from major emergencies.
  • Comprised of 13 counties centered around Charlotte, North Carolina.
  • Partners include Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Agencies, Hospitals, Public Health, Emergency Management, and Long Term Care Facilities.
  • Active Long Term Care Initiative to provide disaster preparedness education to facility administrators and personnel.
  • Available resource cache to support regional healthcare infrastructure gaps during events or disasters.

​How Can the Coalition Help You?

  • Hazard Vulnerability and Risk Assessment guidance and resources.
  • Emergency Operations Planning guidance and resources.
  • Policy and procedure development assistance.
  • Exercise development, execution, and after action reporting assistance.
  • Exercise participation in a full-scale exercise that is community or facility-based AND an additional exercise of the facility's choice.
  • Situational awareness and information sharing with regional partners, including EMS, Emergency Management, Public Health, Hospitals, and other LTC facilities.
