The Economic Development Council Committee provides a customer-oriented local government approach that supports development of an educated and trained workforce; promotes partnerships to aid local economic growth; retains and attracts quality businesses, and contributes to the economy.
Charlotte's mayor appoints council members to serve on the Economic Development Committee, which is charged with maintaining, increasing and enhancing the quality and number of jobs available in the city and expanding economic opportunity to all residents.
